Rob Mount is a distinguished drummer for Lou Gramm, Nelson, Scrap Metal and camp counselor for The Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp. He is a Rochester native who started studying percussion at The Hochstein School of Music at the age of seven. Where he studied under famed Chuck Mangione drummer Vincent Ruggiero. Rob continued to learn percussion at the illustrious Eastman School of Music, and wrapped up his academic career learning music education at Nazareth College.

In the 1990s, Rob recorded with Baby Grande, Court Jester and started a band called “Ramrod” with former Anvil guitarist Sebastian Marino and former Liegelord vocalist Joe Comeau. Which quickly gained a record deal but before recording could begin, Joe and Seb left to join “Overkill”.

Soon after, Rob received a phone call from acclaimed Leviathan recording artist guitarist John Hahn. John had a record deal in Japan for his band “Thick As Thieves”, and needed a drummer for the album “Rock the House”.

In 2000, Rob was asked to join the band “Liegelord”, where he performed at Germany’s world’s premier heavy metal festival, Wacken Open Air.

Throughout the ‘90’s and 2000’s Rob recorded many demos for various artists, from heavy metal, folk, country, and of course the infamous Lou Gramm. Rob had performed many drum duties for Lou over the years which eventually landed Rob a full time role as Lou Gramm’s professional drummer in 2016.

In 2023, Rob started playing drums for the band Nelson, and has been playing on and off over the last few years with them all across North America as well as the Monsters of Rock Cruise.
