New York City-based singer-songwriter Nate Dailey released his latest single “Home With Myself” on June 12, an anthem that explores the difficult but ultimately liberating journey of self-acceptance.
The Manhattan-based cinematic soul artist explores themes of healing, transformation and belonging through the single.

“For a long time, I was looking for a place, a person or an achievement that would finally make me feel at home,” said Dailey. “Eventually, I realized that I had to become that place for myself.”
“Home With Myself,” introduces the Welcome Home era, a larger artistic world centered on self-acceptance and transformation. The song introduces a body of work centered on returning to yourself after grief, ambition, loneliness, and change.
After serving eight years in the U.S. Army, Dailey traded military structure for songwriting, creating soul music that sits at the intersection of vulnerability, identity and self-discovery. The transition from military life to artist life became the foundation of his songs that explore identity, grief, ambition, loneliness, and the often messy process of learning how to come home to yourself.
“The Army taught me how to survive. Songwriting taught me how to understand why I survived,” Dailey said.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Amy Winehouse, Nina Simone, Donny Hathaway, Lauryn Hill and John Legend, his songs blend soulful vocals, rich storytelling, and emotional honesty. His lyrics reflect life’s challenges and triumphs, from grief and self-reflection to joy and reinvention.
Nate Dailey’s debut single “Ode to a Beautiful Life” earned spotlight recognition on Germany’s SWR3 Radio in 2024. The track was followed by single “Season of a Rose,” a meditation on growth through pain.
Beyond the music, Dailey speaks openly about the challenges of reinvention, creative risk and building a new life after military service. His work resonates with listeners navigating change, searching for belonging or learning to recognize themselves with compassion.
