Dromedary Records Presents Dromfest 2026 For Labor Day Weekend

Weekend music festival Dromfest is returning to The Avalon Lounge in September. Featuring 25 different bands and artists from indie rock, the festival has its biggest lineup yet. Labor Day weekend will bring indie rock and pop to Catskill from artists across the country.

Dromedary Records is an independent music label based founded in 1993. The first Dromfest was held in 2022 to honor the label’s anniversary. Entering its fourth year, the festival is getting bigger, building community amongst fans and musicians.

Al Crisafulli is the founder of Dromedary Records in Kingston, later responsible for creating the festival. He views Dromfest as something bigger than just a few bands playing music.

“It’s about creating a space where artists, fans and friends can come together around a shared love of underground rock music,” He said. “Every year, the sense of community grows stronger, and we’re excited to welcome everyone back to Catskill in 2026.”

Taking place over Labor Day weekend, the festival will kick off on Friday, September 4. The lineup will feature Karen Schoemer and her “August” band and Consonant. Dumptruck will be a part of the lineup, making their first Northeast appearance in close to 10 years.

Saturday’s all-day lineup will bring in 11 artists, including Wussy, Martha’s Vineyard Ferries, Tiny Blue Ghost, Via, and Barbara Manning. Rck band Antietam will be holding an album release party for their latest release, The Counting Game. Erica Fletcher, Scott Seward, and Tim Sommer will give readings throughout the event.

Sunday’s all-day lineup will bring in 11 more artists, including Creative Writing, Sweet Harm, Beth Kaplan, Nice Strong Arm, and more. A screening of the 1999 film “Radiation” will accompany a Q&A with the film’s directors, Michael Galinsky and Suki Hawley.

Tickets for are on sale and available for purchase here. VIP passes are also available for purchase for Saturday and Sunday. VIP tickets include the film screening, a free CD, and a donation to the Greene County Food Bank.
