Freedom Park in Scotia will celebrate its 50th anniversary all summer long with an annual Concert Series, featuring free music and family entertainment from June 24 through August 22. The milestone season will also unveil park improvements and an upgraded sound system.

The 2026 schedule has something for everyone, including a musical lineup with several tribute acts. Dark Sarcasm will bring the music of Pink Floyd to the stage, while Coconut Telegraph will celebrate the sounds of Jimmy Buffett and Harvest & Rust will perform the tunes of Neil Young.

Afterward, audiences can travel back in time with the sounds of That 80’s Band, while The Gratto Family Jugglers and Jeff Boyer’s Big Bubble Bonanza will bring family fun. Meanwhile, Broadway fans can sing along to two performances of Broadway Through the Ages, presented by Schenectady Light Opera Company.
In addition to the music, the Freedom Park Foundation is introducing its renovations and a new state-of-the-art sound system. Cathy Gatta, board president of the Freedom Park Foundation markedly describes the summer as “truly one for the history books.”

Not all of the season’s biggest moments, however, will happen onstage. The Scotia-Glenville America 250 Fireworks Celebration will light up the sky June 26, while a free drone show will close out the season Aug. 22.
