Jimmy Eat World have announced a Bleed American 25th anniversary tour with the extensive run beginning Monday, June 9 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and concluding in November at Vans Warped Tour in Orlando. The tour includes two New York shows and marks the band’s return to Vans Warped Tour after a 25-year absence.
Drummer Zach Lind described the tour as a second chance to show appreciation to fans who provided their livelihood for the past 25 years.
Lead vocalist and guitarist Jim Adkins emphasized the importance of savoring the moment, noting the tour is designed as an elevated version of their show with production reflecting 25 years of learning how to stretch artistically in the live environment. Fans can expect to hear the entirety of Bleed American along with additional material.
The tour includes previously announced sold-out U.K. shows on Thursday, Aug. 14 at The Piece Hall in Halifax and Friday, Aug. 15 at Cardiff Castle in Wales, followed by the biggest U.K. show in Jimmy Eat World’s history on Saturday, Aug. 16 at London’s Gunnersbury Park.
Special guests on select dates include Rise Against, Hot Mulligan, Sunny Day Real Estate, Thrice, Motion City Soundtrack, Mom Jeans, Minus the Bear, The Get Up Kids, PUP, Sparta, Hey Mercedes, Girls Against Boys, Illuminati Hotties, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, and Jay Som.
Originally released July 24, 2001 via DreamWorks Records, Bleed American helped push alternative rock into the mainstream. The album has been certified platinum in the U.S. and gold in the U.K., with the single “The Middle” recently joining the Spotify Billion Streams Club.
The song hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart, reached No. 5 on the Hot 100 during a 33-week run and earned RIAA platinum status. Rolling Stone named “The Middle” one of the 250 Greatest Songs of the 21st Century So Far in 2025.
The album’s influence extends to artists including Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday, The Wonder Years, The Maine and Hot Mulligan, who have cited the record as a major influence. The band’s most recent release, the six-song Something(s) Loud EP, arrived in 2025.
Adkins reflected on the album’s legacy, noting when they printed the last mix of Bleed American, they felt they had achieved something great for themselves with no barometer of how it would connect with people outside the studio. The band remains in awe of the life the record and songs have had since their original release.
