Born and raised in Irvington, NY, just south of Tarrytown, Ava Franks is the archetypal hopeless romantic. Still young, fresh and unchained by the harshness of love, Ava carries a depth and lyrical awareness that many aspire to embody.
Her new single “Every Day” wraps the warmth of new love and strong feelings towards another person into an acoustic driven song for young women.

“Every Day” is a soft song that carries that warmth with it. It’s instrumentally simple and repetitious, allowing the vocal and lyrics to fully shine. Ava’s lyrics paint a beautiful picture where her aspirations, wishes, daydreams flow. Stating that she would, “build a boat, sail to you and bring you home” for the person she loves.

Ava’s storytelling crafts devotional lyrical pieces of musical art. Shares that the song, “…explores the beginning stages of a relationship when you’re feeling all of the uncertainty, hope and mystery that goes along with falling in love. It’s about wanting to see that person all the time and hoping they can read your mind.”

The indie pop singer-songwriter is of course heavily inspired by……….. Taylor Swift. Something I felt a mile away because the song is heavily reminiscent of Taylor’s pop style. Saying that, emulation is where a lot of great artists start. I personally can not stand Lady Gaga (don’t come for me) because I feel like she tried way too hard to be like Peaches and Madonna who are better originals. What Ava has that is inherently gifted is her ability to story tell. That in itself is more talent than a lot of pop artists who use only ghost writers (J-Lo for example).
As Ava Frank grows into a sovereign woman her golden retriever voice will get sharpened and when it does I will be here for it. Learn more about her here.
