Brooklyn Bowl will once again mark the Jewish New Year with its 14th annual Rosh Hashanah celebrations, set for September 22 and 23.

Both events feature full traditionally rooted Rosh Hashanah services, plain-sense explanations of the religious aspects of the holiday, prayer, shofar blowing, meditation and live music drawn from throughout the Jewish diaspora.
Rabbi Daniel Brenner will return to lead the service, bringing a deep authenticity and solemnity to the proceedings.
Musical direction of the celebration and core Bowl Hashanah band will be led by Jeremiah Lockwood. The band’s lineup will bring together vocalist/bassist Yula Beeri, drummer John Bollinger, saxophonist and clarinet player Stuart Bogie (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Arcade Fire, and Antibalas), trumpeter Jordan McLean (Antibalas) and organist Yusuke Yamamoto. Additional members of the band, as well as a mix of special guests from both the local musical community and the Jewish music scene, will be announced in the coming weeks.
The services will take place Monday, September 22 at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, September 23 at 10 a.m. Details for Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur will also be released soon.
A limited number of Rosh Hashanah at Brooklyn Bowl Early Bird tickets are currently available for both the September 22 service and the September 23 service. A festive lunch option from Blue Ribbon is also available for the September 23 service. Children’s tickets are offered as well.
