HBO’s The Gilded Age Studio Talk at The Sembrich this August

The Sembrich in Bolton Landing, NY will present “The Gilded Age: The Hit Series & The Era That Inspired it” on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 2 p.m. The studio talk, presented by entertainment historian John Kenrick, will uncover behind-the-scenes stories and real-life dramas behind HBO’s The Gilded Age.

“I think show business history is the most fascinating subject in the world. My goal is simple: to make it as entertaining and exciting for others as it is for me,” Kenrick said.

Kenrick gives talk on theatre and film history, has appeared in numerous documentaries, and is the Game Changer Curator for The Museum of Broadway in NYC. He also is the author of Musicals101.com, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Amateur Theatricals and the textbook Musical Theatre: A History.

The Gilded Age was filmed in the Albany-Troy area for several episodes, including having the interior of Lark Hall in Albany featuring in episodes 5 and 6 of season 3, the newest season.
