Hoochenanny Reveals Exclusive Whiskey Charity Auction, Releases Performance Schedule

Hoochenanny Whiskey & Music Festival, touting itself as the ultimate whiskey and music experience, is pouring a shot of generosity with its inaugural Hoochenanny Whiskey Charity Auction, launching as the festival kicks off on Friday, Aug. 8, through the event’s conclusion on Sunday, August 10 at 8pm.

In addition, the Hoochenanny Whiskey & Music Festival has released set times for the weekend’s festivities. The expanded music lineup will feature an eclectic mix of international, national and regional artists spanning Americana, rock, alternative, punk, outlaw country and rockabilly.

The schedule is highlighted by headline appearances by country-folk singer/songwriter Charles Wesley Godwin on Friday and Rock and Rock Hall of Fame inductees, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts on Saturday. The festival wraps up with a full set by New York’s jammers, moe., followed by two sets by Dark Star Orchestra on Sunday night.

Festival owners Tommy Brunette and Sean McCarthy appeared on 13 Wham in Rochester to discuss the exclusive auction, as well as headline music acts and attractions, including Lager Land and Whiskey World. An online preview of the auction will open soon and an in-person preview at the festival all weekend. Hosted by Givebutter, the bidding window opens on Fri. Aug. 8, and closes on Sun. Aug. 10.

The online auction will feature rare, collectible and one-of-a-kind bottles of whiskey, along with a guitar autographed by Foreigner front man and rock legend, Lou Gramm.

All proceeds will benefit three non-profit organizations: 

Endless Highway, a Rochester-based foundation that breaks down barriers to ensure children and adults who use mobility devices can pursue their recreational and creative goals.

Make-A-Wish, creating life-changing experiences of hope, strength, and joy for families of children with critical medical illnesses.

— The Lou Gramm Foundation, supporting music education and grant opportunities for the next generation of aspiring and energetic musicians.

Scheduled to make an appearance in support of the festival’s giving spirit is Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Rochester native, Lou Gramm. “It’s about using our shared love of whiskey and music to do something meaningful. These charities represent hope, healing and opportunity, and we’re honored to support them through this one-of-a-kind experience.”, said the Lou Gramm Foundation.

Day and weekend general admission passes are available and World of Whiskey Tastings can be added. VIP passes include VIP Bridge access, exclusive whiskey tastings, sit-down dining, a cigar bar, along with complimentary on-site parking.

In conjunction with Endless Highway, Hoochenanny promises an inclusive, accessible festival grounds with all attendees in mind. All ages are welcome, with designated 21+ areas identified on-site.
