The Glove Theatre Presents ‘Jungle Book KIDS’

The Glove Theatre’s Summer Arts program wraps up this weekend with four performances of Jungle Book KIDS, running July 11 through 13 in downtown Gloversville.

The production features students in grades one through twelve who spent the past two weeks rehearsing as part of the theatre’s free youth program.

Directed by longtime teaching artist Jennifer Flynn, the production brings together kids from across Fulton and Montgomery counties. Flynn has led the Glove’s summer musicals since 2017 and says it’s “a lot of fun working together, not only on a show, but in developing lifelong friendships.”

She’s joined this year by Gloversville native Jamie Eacker Jennings, who returns to The Glove as Assistant Director. A graduate of the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York City, Jennings has spent the past two decades performing in over 30 professional shows in the DC and Mid-Atlantic region. “I am excited to be back in Gloversville after a 20-year hiatus,” she said. “As an educator, I can’t wait to share the experience I’ve gained in the professional theatre world with the students of The Glove Theatre, a theatre I have so many fond memories of.”

All performances are open to the public. More information is available online.
