The Town of Islip is bringing back its Summer Fun Series for 2025. This yearly event is free for all and includes two series; Movies in the Park and Concerts in the Park.
The Summer Fun Series runs throughout the season with several events held each week of June, July and August.
The Movies in the Park series begins June 30 and runs to August 13. The gates to the Movies in the Park series open each week at 6:30 p.m., with ice cream trucks available during the event. This year’s movie screenings are suitable for children, with PG and G rated titles including “Zootopia”, “Surf’s Up” and “Finding Nemo”, making for a night of family friendly summer fun.

The Concerts in the Park series begins June 18 and runs to August 13. Attendees can enjoy food truck fare beginning at 5 p.m., before the concerts start at 7 p.m. The Concerts in the Park Series features an impressive lineup of artists from various genres performing music that defies both decades. The series opens June 18 with four-piece country band SouthBound, emo/pop-punk tribute The Warped Tour Band, and six-piece rock & roll group Rich Mahogany performing the following weeks.
Other notable performers include Van Halen tribute band Completely Unchained, Latin/salsa group Son Milanes and Decadia, eight-piece everything 80s cover band.
The Islip Summer Fun Series ends on August 13, with a performance from Fleetwood Mac tribute band Fleetwood Macked.
