Everstill Announce New Genre-Bending EP “What Is Enough”

Brooklyn-based alternative rock band Everstill has announced their latest project, an EP titled What Is Enough, set to release May 30.

The long-awaited EP arrives four years after Longing, the debut album by Everstill frontwoman Sara Aridi. After the release of Longing, Aridi joined forces with guitarist Adel Bagli, drummer Britton Matthews and bassists Pierce Krauland and Sarah Klein to form Everstill. Drawing inspiration from a variety of genres, including grunge, hard rock, dream pop, indie and progressive rock, What Is Enough pushes Everstill further into their own distinctive sound.

What Is Enough is a five-track collection that delves into themes of existentialism, death, love and reflects on self-identity and relationships. Everstill gave their listeners a taste of what is to come, releasing the second single off the EP, “Front Row Seat” on April 11; which features a chunky guitar riff that encapsulates the emotional turbulence of a breakup.

The EP’s first single is titled “Red”, a dark yet dreamy reflection on living in a country that conflicts with your morals. “Red” is followed by “Never Become”, a pensive pondering of one’s identity and impact. “Something More”, is a softer indie-influenced track that taps into the longing for spontaneity, while “No One” takes a sharp turn into death-driven obscurity.
