Scheduled for Sat., May 31 at 7:00 p.m., the event will take place at the Oswego Music Hall, inside the McCrobie Civic Center at 41 Lake St.

The concert, Oswegonian Rhapsody, is apart of the Oswego Music Hall’s Guest Curator Series, which fosters community engagement by inviting local residents to propose and curate new, unique programs that highlight artists and genres not typically featured in Music Hall programming.

Family-friendly, nonprofit organization, Oswego Music Hall, has been entirely volunteer-run since 1977. It has served as a welcoming space for creative expression, driven by local support and community passion.

As with all events at Oswego Music Hall, the venue is wheelchair accessible and conveniently located adjacent to Breitbeck Park, overlooking Lake Ontario and the Oswego Harbor.

Gary Dunes
Gary Dunes brings his band Code Red to the Oswego Music Hall for a night of rock opera.

“Your favorite local bands, your favorite rock operas, now for the first time ever unite in an explosive evening of high-energy performances and crossover extravaganza,” co-planner Nicholas Gentile said.

Attendees can expect bold genre twists and mashups of memorable songs, such as Gary Dunes’ rendition of The Who’s Tommy, The Jimi Marley Trio’s reggae rendition of The Wall, and even a surf rock rendition of Rocky Horror.

The concert will support the Oswego Opera Theater, a community staple since 1978, known for its full scale musical productions brought to life by local musicians, technicians, designers, costumers, and lighting engineers.
