Albany-based creative agency Overit has announced the launch of their “Home Grown Sessions” at Caffè Lena in downtown Saratoga Springs.

Home Grown Sessions aims to celebrate local music talent through a live concert series. The program’s goals are shared between Overit and Caffè Lena: to nurture community, creativity, and culture – right at home.
“This series is about more than music. It’s about giving local artists a real platform and giving our community a place to gather, discover, and celebrate talent from their own backyard,” Founder and CEO of Overit and Overit Studios Dan Dinsmore said. “As a drummer and longtime supporter of the local music scene, this project is especially personal to me. Some of the bands we’re bringing to the stage are friends of mine, and many have recorded at Overit Studios. It’s a full-circle moment to help elevate their work and bring it to such a legendary venue.”

Home Grown Sessions began in March with a performance by local blues duo Mark and Jill, setting the perfect example of the program’s mission to create an intimate and inspiring concert series, spotlighting singer-songwriters and genre-blending performers. The next session will be on April 24, featuring Saratoga-based band Honeysuckle. The session will feature Sawyer Fredericks in May and Erin Harkes in June.
