Stephane Wrembel Presents Django à Gogo Music Festival 2025: Celebrating the Legacy of Django Reinhardt with World-Class Musicians

Guitarist, composer, and musical director Stephane Wrembel is proud to present the Django à Gogo Music Festival from May 7-10 across two venues: The Woodland in Maplewood, NJ, and Symphony Space in NYC.

Django à Gogo

The Django à Gogo Music Festival is a celebration of the life and music of Django Reinhardt, one of the most influential jazz guitarists in history. Reinhardt, a virtuoso of the Jazz Manouche style, revolutionized the genre with his exceptional playing despite being limited by an injury to his left hand. This festival, curated by renowned guitarist and composer Stephane Wrembel, honors Reinhardt’s legacy by bringing together a group of highly skilled guitarists from around the world.

These musicians, hailing from France, the Netherlands, and the U.S., perform in the spirit of Reinhardt’s innovative sound, blending traditional gypsy jazz with contemporary influences.

Stephane Wrembel, a master of Reinhardt’s style, has been a key figure in the world of gypsy jazz for many years. Wrembel’s deep connection to Reinhardt’s music is evident in his compositions, including pieces featured in major films like Midnight in Paris and Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Through his music and leadership, Wrembel has helped to preserve and evolve the traditions of jazz guitar, introducing them to new audiences while staying true to their roots.

The festival provides a unique opportunity to experience the extraordinary blend of virtuosity and improvisation that defines gypsy jazz, offering both live performances and an immersive guitar camp for enthusiasts of all skill levels.
