The Luca Yeager Band Sparks a New Revolution on the NYC Stage

The Luca Yeager Band is bringing energy back to the modern stage in New York City. The band is headed by Luca Yeager, who grew up as a guitarist and just graduated from NYU studying songwriting. All members of the band are also graduates of music programs at NYU.

The band recently released their latest single, “Better,” following the release of their debut album, The Free Trial, a soulful homage to psychedelic rock that influenced Luca growing up. “Better” is the first song Luca wrote and recorded after graduating college, and that’s what the song is about to him: moving on and trying to be better.

When preparing for the release of “Better,” Luca Yeager summarized what listeners might expect from the single. Yeager said on Instagram, “An unsettled feeling for more and a revolution for our younger selves.” The single paints a picture of his experience and self-view when he was younger, and feeling as if he knew better at the time.

Luca had made his new single “Better,” in a three-hour haze of angst. Before the release of “Better,” The Luca Yeager Band had released their debut album in 2024 dubbed, “The Free Trial”. After they had unveiled the album, The Luca Yeager Band released three new beautifully written singles, “St. James Infirmary,” “Red Makeup,” and “Free Trial“.

Since the release of these singles, The Luca Yeager Band performed at Firstlive Bushwick on February 21. Currently, they have an upcoming show this summer at The Bowery Electric on August 19.
