J Balvin performed a sold-out show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday, March 30.

Brooklyn witnessed a spectacle of rhythm, color, and pure reggaeton energy as J Balvin brought his “Back to the Rayo” tour to a sold-out Barclays Center crowd on Sunday, March 30. From the moment the Colombian star rolled in his custom car on stage, it was clear that this wasn’t just any concert, but an incredible, full-blown experience. It was a celebration of Latin power and love.

In support of his latest studio album, Rayo, the Colombian artist is on a 27-date trek throughout major U.S. cities and dates in Montreal and Toronto in Canada. The expression means the earnest need for human connection. Inspired by the classic 1980s film trilogy, Back to the Future, Balvin returns to U.S. music venues after six years and shows us why he is a global sensation and staple in the Latin music scene. Balvin is a Colombian singer, songwriter, and global ambassador of reggaeton and Latin trap, and is one of the most influential Latin artists of the 21st century.
The stage production was breathtaking and mesmerizing with cool, neon lights, futuristic visuals, and combined with flawless, high-energy choreography. The choreography and costumes enhanced the sound, helping Balvin engage even more with the audience. The crowd was dancing and jumping up and down non-stop.

J Balvin performed hit after hit including “Ay Vamos”, “Mi Gente”, “La Cancion”, and “Con Altura.” This was more than just a regular concert, it was a tribute to all of Latin America and its people. Cheers and whistles echoed throughout the arena, as country flags waved. J Balvin took a moment during his show to acknowledge all of the wonderful diversity in the crowd. Balvin told the crowd, “Even if you don’t understand Spanish, but you vibe with what we’re doing – you’re part of the Latino gang.” It was beautiful and uniting for people to come together this night regardless of your background.
J Balvin had two special guests with him: Colombian rapper Ryan Castro and English Grammy-winning singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran. Ryan Castro came out first and performed some of his hits such as “El Ritmo Que Nos Une” and “Jordan”. Then, out of nowhere, Ed Sheeran came out to perform “Sigue” with Balvin, followed by his certified hit “Shape of You”. Each of the performers took shots and celebrated, laughing on stage, and dancing without a care in the world.

Balvin wrapped up the show by turning Barclays into a nightclub. The crowd was electric, jumping all over, drinks spilling left and right, and hands in the air as the music blasted through the arena. It was a magical and memorable night.

J Balvin continues his tour in Uncasville, Connecticut, on Thursday, April 3. Rayo is available on all digital platforms. For more details, visit J Balvin’s official website.
