Young local musicians rejoice: the Pleasantville Music Festival is excited to announce the 2025 Battle of the Bands competition is open, sponsored and hosted for the first time by Locals 10538 in Larchmont, NY.

In the Festival’s annual battle, young area musicians who perform original music compete for two slots to open the Festival, a favorite in the lead up to the main event in July.
The competition is designed to give young, up and coming local musicians a chance to play for a much larger audience, and is open to performers ages 24 and under from Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Fairfield, Bergen counties and the Bronx. It is open to full bands. Performers will compete before a panel of music industry judges at Locals 10538 in Larchmont, NY on Saturday, May 3.
Two Battle of the Bands winners will open this year’s Pleasantville Music Festival on Saturday, July 12. The runner up will perform for approximately 40 minutes starting at 1 PM on the Party Stage. The winner will perform for about 30 minutes starting at 1:50 PM on the Main Stage.

Submission deadline is Friday, April 11, 2025 at midnight. A screening committee will review all entries, pick the finalists and notify all entrants of the decision by April 13.
Rules, entry requirements and submission details are posted at the Festival’s website.
Chosen artists will perform the two submitted songs, and a third original song or cover at the live competition on May 3. If you’re chosen, bring your family and friends to the live competition on May 3 at Locals 10538 in Larchmont. A full menu is available.
Winners for both competitions, including the Main Stage Winner, will be chosen on Monday, May 5.
Previous Battle of the Bands winners have included; Summer Fling, Hunter Road, Ursula Hansberry, Platinum Moon, Mosa, The Blue Chips, RIIZA, Indigo King, Wild Planes, Noshows, Carter Quinn-Tanis, and many others.
