“Come” is composed by Music Director David Strickland and features Central’s Cantor Jenna Pearsall. The 29 year old’s interpretation of the song, in addition to her powerful vocals, brings a new light to the classic and beloved song. The track also features the low hum of Central’s choir member Neil Netherly, then transitioning into Cantor Pearsall’s soprano tone. The lyrics are sung in both English and Hebrew, with a touch of New Orleans jazz influence by Stickland’s piano performance.

“I love the call to prayer and the call to community that this embodies,” Cantor Jenna Pearsall said. “Just being a part of this record and standing at The Power Station to record it, I was inspired by who had come before me in that place, and then to be able to sing something that Chava Mirel wrote was beyond an honor.”

Sing a Little More is a 15-track album featuring Central’s Senior Cantor Daniel Mutlu, Cantor Jenna Pearsall, Rabbi Angela Buchdahl and the Synagogue’s backing band, choir and full-string orchestra. The album reflects the full musical experience that Central Synagogue provides to all who participate in their internationally-viewed Friday night worship service. Central has pledged to donate all proceeds from the album to Concerts in Motion, a non-profit organization bringing concert experiences to older audiences, low-income communities and more with high-quality and engaging music programs, bringing joy and connection to over 25,000 people each year.

“At Central, we love to sing together, even when we may not all know the words,” Senior Cantor Daniel Mutlu said. “It’s the feeling that motivated us in the making of Sing a Little More and is the essence of these songs – feeling a connection to your community and to God as we reflect on our own lives and the lives of others. I hope that resonates for everyone who hears this music.”
