The 127th Rochester Lilac Festival has announced the lineup of performers, including pop rock band Beach Weather, alt-pop band The Aces, rock band The Skycoasters and more, for the performance starting on Friday, May 9 to Sunday, May 18 at Highland Park in Rochester.
“Spring is right around the corner and we can’t wait to share the vibrant mix of local art, music, food, and vendors at the annual Rochester Lilac Festival,” Monroe County Executive Adam Bello said. “Whether you come for the headlining acts or your favorite local band, the KeyBank Center Stage will be packed with incredible talent, creating the perfect soundtrack for this beloved spring tradition. Get ready for unforgettable performances, great vibes, and nonstop energy as the Rochester Lilac Festival is shaping up to be another fantastic kickoff to our local festival season!”
This year’s lineup includes 10 nationally touring artists, 31 supporting artists and 18 sets from educational institutions from around the region, for an impressive total of 60 hours of free live music. The lineup was announced on March 6 with notable attendees, including Bello, City of Rochester Mayor Evans and Visit Rochester’s Vice President of Communications Rachel Laber Polvino.
“We’re proud to keep visitors on their feet, not just with the beats, but with the variety of music we’re offering this year from Rochester’s rich music scene,” Rochester Lilac Festival’s Music Producer Dave Drago said, “there’s so much talent here that we’ve been able to curate a supporting lineup that’s completely new from last year, while maintaining an incredible level of diversity and quality.”
Since its beginning in 1898, the award-winning festival gathers over 500,000 guests from across Western and Upstate New York, the tri-state area and Canada, aligned with the lilac’s seasonal blooms, to celebrate and attend the 10-day free festival each year.
The festival includes over 120 musical performances, over 300 arts and crafts vendors, local farmers’ markets, the Lilac Run, family-friendly activities and the fragrant lilac blossoms.
