“Fish Tank” focuses on pursuing self-success, finding rhythm and breaking free from setbacks in life. The single features Lippin’s signature sounds of folk, indie and pop rock with emulsifying vocals and a strong narrative. The contagious guitar solos and undeniably catchy rhythm section easily resonates with listeners through a sound similar to bands like Weezer and Wheatus.

Lippin said that the inspiration behind the music video came from a scene in Colorado, watching hundreds of people walking in the city. “They all seemed like they were in their own little worlds,” Lippin said, “Completely aloof from anybody else.” Through entangling hopeless feelings of chasing false situations, “Fish Tank” offers listeners hope and support to find strength to take leaps in life.

Lippin takes inspiration from music greats like Tom Petty, Phish, Oasis and Vampire Weekend, focusing on emotions and honesty with edge and humor mixed in. His latest release, “Run Away,” reveals a clear landscape of elemental blends of his signature genres.
