Pete Muller and the Kindred Souls coming to Caffe Lena

Songwriter, philanthropist, and finance revolutionist Pete Muller will be performing live at Caffè Lena in Saratoga Springs on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, with his band The Kindred Souls, to celebrate the release of his live album Live from Joe’s Pub and share tracks from his critically acclaimed record More Time.

Pete Muller is a multifaceted artist and visionary, known not only for his evocative songwriting but also for his dedication to social impact. As the chair of the Live Music Society, he has led efforts to save small venues and staff from financial hardship, using his platform to advocate for the preservation of live music spaces. His contributions to music extend beyond performing, as he has revived the legendary Power Station recording studio, providing a vital space for new music to be made. Muller also brings a unique intellectual edge to his work, writing crossword puzzles for The Washington Post and The New York Times, and his strategic mindset led him to land at the final table in the World Series of Poker.

After a recent conversation over the phone, I realized that beyond his accomplishments, Pete Muller is a true philanthropist and an amazing human being. All the money he earns from his music career and his journey with Pete Muller and the Kindred Souls is donated to charity, underscoring his commitment to giving back and supporting causes that uplift communities.

In addition to celebrating his live album and sharing fan favorites, Pete is giving attendees a rare opportunity to hear first-time test drives of songs from his upcoming and still unnamed seventh studio album, which is nearly finished. These new song debuts are sure to make this show a special moment for fans to be a part of.

Special guest Cassandra Kubinski, a talented actress, singer-songwriter, and music world advocate based in Saratoga Springs, will open the evening for Pete Muller and the Kindred Souls. Her piano-driven pop effortlessly transitions from powerful to delicate within a single performance. As Billy Joel puts it, she is “very similar to the singer/songwriters of the late 70s; she proves that the genre can still be transcendent.” Don’t miss this captivating opening set.

This intimate performance at Caffè Lena, a legendary venue where artists like Bob Dylan have performed, promises to take everyone in attendance on an introspective, connective journey. Pete’s heartfelt and powerful music, filled with themes of love, hope, and resilience, will leave you inspired and moved.

Get your ready for an unforgettable night of music, connection, and inspiration.
