TONY Award Nominees Announced

Nominees have been announced for the 72nd annual Tony Awards on June 10. The ceremonie will be held at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The Tony Awards is an annual event that recognizes excellence in live Broadway theatre productions and performances.

Tied with 12 nominations each, Broadway productions “Mean Girls” and “SpongeBob Squarepants” top the list of nominees. Broadway revivals “Carousel,” and “Angels in America,” each received 11 nominations along with new musical “The Band’s Visit.”
