As the Great New York State Fair begins a new era with a new Chevy Court and the absence of the Grandstands, organizers come out to the plate and decidedly hit a home run as they announce 2016’s closing act.
At 6 p.m. Sept. 5, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Chicago will treat the crowd to a free concert. Although it’s not the first appearance for the multiple-award-winning group, their absence has been notably missed and fans all over New York and beyond are cheering for their return.

The Commodores, Aug. 30 at 8 p.m.
Macy Gray, Aug. 31 at 2 p.m.
