The 2026 Newport Folk Festival brought a fantastic weekend of great music, calm vibes, and many introductions to artists who should be on your radar. We had the pleasure of photographing a few standout musicians after their Folk Festival sets. Belle Blue
Brooklyn-based Belle Blue played to a packed crowd as the first Bike Stage performer of the festival. The sixteen-year-old singer-songwriter and her band turned folk into indie-rock for an epic Friday appearance.

Community Chapstick
Community Chapstick, a rock-punk trio from Delaware, played an epic set on the Foundation Stage on Saturday. With a ton of crowd interaction in their set, the band had one of the most energetic performances of the festival.

Jackie Evans
Jackie Evans, a singer-songwriter from the Hudson Valley, played a solo set on the Foundation Stage. Surrounded by fans, the singer played the keys for a meaningful, intimate performance at the Newport Folk Festival.

Princess June
Newport-based three piece Princess June opened the main Fort Stage on Saturday to a devoted crowd of family, friends, and new fans. Their tight-knit bond brought community, comfort, and radiant joy to the early sets of Day Two.

Brad Barr
Originally from Providence, The Barr Brothers returned to The Fort for their second Newport Folk appearance on Saturday. We had the opportunity to photograph Brad, who also releases solo music when not collaborating with his brother, Andrew.

Sally Rose
Virginia-based singer-songwriter Sally Rose lit up the Bike Stage with an energetic opening set on Sunday. Another first-timer, Sally Rose and their band brought an indie-country flair to the most immersive stage at Newport.
