Despite the Buffalo Sabres hosting the Montreal Canadians the same night just across the city, fans still packed RiverWorks from wall to wall, proving just how anticipated this tour really was.

Throughout the night, loud cheers would erupt anytime the Sabres scored, creating a unique atmosphere that blended Buffalo hockey energy with one of the biggest alternative tours of the spring.

The night kicked off with Sace6, who immediately brought intensity to the stage and warmed the crowd up early. Their darker sound and aggressive delivery set the tone perfectly for what would become a night full of emotion and heaviness. Even with people still filing into the venue, the crowd engagement was strong from the opening song.

Next up was Wind Walkers, who continued building momentum with a high energy performance. Their mix of melodic choruses and crushing breakdowns connected well with the audience, and by the middle of their set, the floor was fully packed. The band fed off the crowd’s energy, delivering one of the more underrated performances of the evening.

Then came Northlane, who completely transformed the atmosphere inside RiverWorks. The Australian metalcore outfit brought massive production, punishing riffs, and a wall of sound that shook the venue. Crowd surfers began pouring over the barricade while mosh pits opened across the floor almost instantly. Northlane’s set balanced heaviness and atmosphere perfectly, further proving why they remain one of the most respected bands in modern metalcore.

Finally, the lights dimmed for Dayseeker, and the room erupted. Opening with “Pale Moonlight,” the band instantly had the sold out crowd singing every word back to them. From there, Dayseeker masterfully balanced emotional moments with explosive energy throughout the night. Fan favorites like “Without Me” and “Sleeptalk” turned RiverWorks into one giant singalong, with the audience drowning out the band at times. Their set was beautiful dressed with floral arrangements and a coffin.

Frontman Rory Rodriguez sounded incredible live, effortlessly moving between soaring clean vocals and emotional delivery that gave every song added weight in a live setting. The production and lighting elevated the performance even further, creating an immersive atmosphere that matched the mood of the Pale Moonlight Tour perfectly.

Even with Buffalo split between hockey fans and concertgoers that night, RiverWorks was absolutely electric from start to finish. Between the sold out crowd, stacked lineup, and emotional headline set from Dayseeker, the Pale Moonlight Tour stop in Buffalo delivered one heck of an alternative show with many more to come.
