The Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra has announced its 2026-2027 season, under the direction of Music Director Daniel Hege, featuring a lineup of unique performances from the M&T Bank Symphonic Series, the Visions Federal Credit Union Pops series, and the Graufi Law P.C. Phelps Mansion Museum Series.
This season will celebrate classical masterworks, cinematic favorites, pop gems, and intimate chamber music.

The Orchestra is the Southern Tier’s largest and longest-serving professional symphony orchestra, and serves up to 10,000 people annually with innovative, engaging, and affordable programming, while focusing on its goal of “Building Community Through the Power of Live Music.”
This season highlights the debut of Appalachian Native violinist Sophia Wernerm in Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto, and Terrence Wilson, an acclaimed pianist, in Piano Concerto No.2 of Camille Saint-Saëns.
In addition, Southern Tier Singers’ Collective will return for Beethoven’s great Mass in C in Simple Gifts, Sacred Praise. Classic Halloween short films will also be shown along with orchestral scores and rollicking ragtime favorites in Haunted Hollywood.
M&T Bank Symphonic Series will also offer an array of unique performances. On September 26th at 7:00 pm, “Passionate Discovery,” an uplifting opening night will be offered. This evening will feature works by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and the Symphony No.1 of Florence Price.

“Simple Gifts, Sacred Praise” will be offered on November 14th at 7:30 pm, with a powerful program combining Aaron Copland’s beloved Appalachian Spring and Beethoven’s stupendous Mass in C, featuring the Southern Tier Singers’ Collective. The M&T Band series will also offer an evening of “Classically Modern” on February 13th at 3:30 pm and “Verdant and Vibrant” on April 10th at 7:30 pm.
The Visions Federal Credit Union will also offer a Pop Series with a “Haunted Hollywood” evening on October 24th at 7:30 pm, a “Winter Wonderland” evening on December 12 at 3:30 pm, a “Maestro’s Matinee: Favorite Soundtracks” evening on March 13th at 3:30 pm, and an evening of “Amazing 80s: The Best Pops Hits of the 80s” on May 1 7:30 pm.
Garufi Law P.C. Phelps Mansion Museum Series will also offer multiple performances, including The Champlain Trio on October 11th at 3 pm, the Oak Trio on November 1st at 3 pm, Leland Ko on January 24th at 3pm, and The Radliff-Niessen Duo on March 21st at 3 pm.
