Harpist Mikaela Davis released her latest single “11:11” on Tuesday, November 11, a patient, melodic journey with harp cascading through Davis’ enchanting voice.
The track is the first in two years since the release of sophomore album, 2023’s And Southern Star.

The glowing verses part the waves towards the fuzz-tone guitars in the chorus, where the ethos of the song – making a wish when the clock reads “11:11” – becomes incantation and ritual. Not rushed and not too paced, the image painted by Davis allows sound and emotion to merge uninterrupted.
“11:11” is written by Davis along with collaborator John Lee Shannon (Circles Around the Sun) and recorded by Dan Horne at UHF Studio in Glendale, California. The song begins a new era for the harpist/singer-songwriter with more music on the horizon.
Mikaela Davis “11:11” Lyrics
Day after day
I find myself in this unfamiliar place
Oh how I try
but I just can’t seem to recognize your face
Fading away
like a photograph forgotten on the wall
What can I say
when the time has come and gone?
All the memories escape me now
Every subject’s out of frame
Missing pieces that I’ll never find
But the puzzle still remains
Like my father,
why should I bother?
Never say never,
nothing’s forever
Make a wish and
light the candle
11:11
again and again and
Taking a drive
on a one way trip to a place you’ve never been
I guess you lied
when you said that you’d be coming home again
Running away
from a place where everybody knows your name
Isn’t it great?
Sometimes you need a change
And when the dust begins to settle down
Everything will feel the same
You can pretend to be someone else
But the memories remain
Like my father,
why should I bother?
Never say never,
nothing’s forever
Make a wish and
light the candle
11:11
again and again and
Like my father,
why should I bother?
Never say never,
nothing’s forever
Make a wish and
light the candle
11:11
again and again and
11:11
again and again and
11:11
again and again and
11:11
again and again and
11:11
again and again and…
