ESYO Opens its New Season with Ignition: Rising Through Sound

Empire State Youth Orchestra (ESYO) opens its new 2025–2026 Season on Saturday, October 25 at 3:00 p.m. at Proctors Theatre with Ignition: Rising Through Sound—an inspiring afternoon featuring the world premiere of Up We Go! by ESYO alum and composer Jacob Fanto, alongside a dynamic performance of Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4.

The concert unites ESYO’s Symphony Orchestra (Music Director Etienne Abelin) and Repertory Orchestra (Conductor David Beck) for a program that transforms sparks of creativity into soaring musical momentum.

ESYO Opens New Season

Sharing the program is Viet Cuong’s Re(New)al—a vibrant tribute to renewable energy spotlighting four of ESYO’s own percussionists as soloists—followed by the Symphony Orchestra igniting the stage with Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony, a powerful exploration of fate, resilience, and ultimate release.

Ignition: Rising Through Sound, the concert that sees ESYO open its new season, will take place on October 25 at 3 p.m. at the Proctors Theatre. Tickets can be found here
