Bad Bunny kicked off Season 51 of Saturday Night Live on October 4, hosting for a second time, and joined by musical guest Doja Cat.

Despite backlash from unilinguist right-wing talking heads, Bad Bunny will perform at Super Bowl LX in February 2026, performing all songs in Spanish, a first for the big show.
The Puerto Rican singer made note of the fake-controversy in his monologue, saying first in Spanish:
“Todos los Latinos y las Latinas en el mundo entero y aquí en los Estados Unidos, todas las personas que han trabajado para abrir puertas — más que un logro mío es un logro de todos, demostrando que nuestra huella y nuestra aportación en este país nadie nunca lo podrá sacar y borrar.”
(“Especially all the Latinos and Latinas across the world, and here, in the United States, all those who have worked to open doors. It’s more than an achievement for myself, it’s an achievement for all of us, it shows our footprint, and our contribution to this country, that no one will ever be able to take away or erase.”)
Bad Bunny – Saturday Night Live monologue, Oct 4, 2025
After speaking in Spanish, he followed up by saying in English, jokingly, “If you didn’t understand what I just said. You have four months to learn Spanish.”
Bad Bunny honed decent acting chops for his second go-round hosting Saturday Night Live, showing up as your Puerto Rican uncle’s friend in “ChatGPTio,” a king in “Inventing Spanish,” and Quico in an English language version of Bad Bunny’s favorite show growing up, “El Chavo Del Ocho.”

A few special guests were on hand – Benecio Del Toro showed up in “Inventing Spanish” and Juan Jamon (Jon Hamm), who showed up in the monologue and “El Chavo Del Ocho.”
Doja Cat performed on “AAAHH MEN!” on a checkerboard stage, with neon yellow hair and self-censoring herself during the “Knight Rider Theme” driven funk/hip-hop infused performance.
For her second song, Doja Cat appeared sitting on a giant red rose throne, ala Venus de Mile amid a smoky stage for “Gorgeous,” both songs appearing on her fifth album, Vie.
Saturday Night Live returns on October 11 with host Amy Poehler and musical guest Role Model.
