Renowned producer Real Bad Man has announced a new collaborative project titled Terminator Shit with Rochester native Mooch. Supported by single “Mercy (Take Mine)”, the album will drop on September 25 and will feature guest appearances from Boldy James, Your Old Droog, and Estee Nack.
The album has a dark, futuristic feeling that combines Real Bad Man’s signature production style with Mooch’s impressive lyricism. Additionally, the remarkable lineup of guest artists solidifies the album’s place in the underground hip-hop scene. The world of Terminator Shit comes to life with the comic-book inspired album art created by Lawrence “Rawdog” Hubbard of Real Deal Comix as well as corresponding original animated short.
The lead single from the album, “Mercy (Take Mine),” gives listeners a taste of Terminator Shit’s sound. It is reminiscent of 2010s rap with its powerful instrumentals and colorful, raw lyrics. This is a stand-out single which draws in listeners by capturing the spirit of the full album.
Real Bad Man is the producer alias for designer Adam Weissman, who has been commanding the rap and hip-hop world for the past decade. What began as an art and streetwear project soon turned into an independent record label. He has always been ahead of the curve in terms of who he collaborates with. He takes care to highlight fellow artists such as Roc Marciano, Stove God Cooks, and Crimeapple. Real Bad Man’s impressive catalog reads as a who’s-who of contemporary independent hip-hop.
Mooch is a rapper from Rochester who is a frequent collaborator with his rap and hip-hop peers. In his hometown, he performs with underground hip-hop collective Da Cloth. Speaking on Mooch’s work, Real Bad Man says, “Mooch has long been a key collaborator in the Real Bad Man camp.” His lyrics complement the high-quality production from Real Bad Man which creates a fully immersive musical experience.
