Jess Yaffa, based in NYC, released new pop single and music video “Spill My Guts” September 18. This single is ushering in a new era for Yaffa, released ahead of her EP FALSE SPRING due at the end of this year.
This project follows the release of Yaffa’s 2025 debut album, Thoughts That Keep Me Up At Night, produced by Grammy-winner Scott Jacoby.

“Spill My Guts” combines energetic rhythm, bright synthesizer, and emotionally open songwriting to capture the feelings behind a confession.
The title references the early stages of a romantic relationship where keeping your feelings hidden is no longer an option. This needed release is reflected in the music, with its lively musical backdrop giving the vulnerable lyrics an optimistic edge. Instead of treating emotional honesty as something heavy, Yaffa turns it into something exhilarating.
The music video mirrors that spirit with a playful visual concept. The video, shot by a friend, depicts Yaffa walking around New York City as she gradually gathers flowers to form a bouquet. The result is a colorful and understated story that rounds out the romantic and hopeful dimensions of the track.

“Spill My Guts” marks Yaffa’s first step into taking full production control of her music. As the first song she created after making that decision, it helped shape the direction of FALSE SPRING, where she stepped beyond songwriting in close collaboration with audio engineer Leah Dunn. The result is a promising introduction to a more independent and personal side of Jess Yaffa.
