Judy Collins Announces “Sweet Judy Blue Eyes” Farewell Tour

Iconic singer-songwriter Judy Collins has announced her Farewell Tour, set to kick off July 4. The “Sweet Judy Blue Eyes” tour will see her performing over 50 shows across the country from July into Spring 2027.

Collins’s career spans over six decades, winning a GRAMMY out of seven nominations from her catalogue. Her music ranges in genres, from pop, folk, rock, country, and showtunes. In addition to her original work, she is known for her covers from famous artists such as Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen.

Despite her long career, her first album of original work came in 2022 with the release of Spellbound. Nonetheless, the album came over 60 years after making her original recording debut, showcasing the longevity of her career.

The farewell tour will kick off on a special July 4 show in Williamsburg, Virginia. She will have a special concert on the PBS special “American Made in Virginia: 250 Years Together.” Additionally, the special will feature appearances by Michael Feinstein, Ryan Speedo Green, Kelli O’Hara, and Adrienne Warren.

Her tour will see her make stops in Ithaca, Riverhead, and her hometown of New York City. Special guests Richard Thompson, Amanda Shires, Roseanne Cash, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Bruce Cockburn will join her on select dates.

Although Collins is 87, she will be on tour for close to a year, with more dates expected to be added to the schedule. At the moment, some dates are already sold out. However, Judy says this tour is her way of saying thank you to her fans.

“Touring has been the great thread of my life—city to city, song to song, face to face.” She said. “The audiences have carried me for decades, and I’ve never stopped being moved by what can happen in a room when we truly listen to one another.”
