Rochester Cocktail Revival Stacks Anthology with The Demos and Cut Me Up, Genny

Anthology hosted an unusual show on Thursday, June 4, one of the most desired concert venues for bands in Rochester. Rochester Cocktail Revival did not disappoint with their choice of artists, The Demos and Rochester’s favorite Tribute band two years running, Cut Me Up, Genny who took the stage, combining to provide a night of blending The Demos original songs, classic and catchy lyrics with Genny’s outstanding stage presence, unmatched energy, and sheer awesomeness; they succeeded in true Rochester fashion.

The Demo’s

As The Demos took the stage, their upbeat, lyrically driven alternative style put together a set of All-Star level songs to find yourself moving without conscious thought. The band is comprised of Jason Milton on guitar and vocals, Callan Saunders on guitar and vocals, Caela Moore on the keys, Jeremiah O’Reilly on the bass, Ryan Farnung on drums and Anna Dana on percussion and vocals, coming together as a truly harmonious ensemble.

This show marked a milestone for The Demos as they recently broke a four year long hiatus from performing live as of Lilac Festival earlier this year, although this has not hindered their recording, releasing 24 Hour Hotline in 2022 as well as an EP If You Only Knew which was produced hand in hand with Dan Armbruster from Joywave in 2018.

The Demos came out hitting hard and focused on their stellar performance, with Milton and O’Reilly often caught playing off one another and jamming back-to-back at times, while Saunders goofy antics and lovable stage presence made him a key asset to the experience. This tight knit group of friends bring harmony not only in their music, but also in their joy with one another. Keep your eyes close for what comes next for these great musicians.

Cut Me Up, Genny take the Anthology stage

Cut Me Up, Genny hit the stage with their signature, powerful start and the fans felt it and showed it back in return. Cut me up Genny was interviewed by NYS Music last November, right before the announcements of Rochester’s Best Of competition, which Cut Me Up, Genny had won the prior year. After successfully defending their title in winning Rochester‘s best tribute band for the second year in a row, the band has been on a rampage of shows from Skylark Lounge to Iron Smoke Distillery packing the venues with their extremely loyal fans. These are not only very dedicated musicians, but performers and lovers of their fans. Can they win Rochester’s best tribute band again this year and go for the Hat Trick?
