This summer, downtown Geneva will be sizzling, but not just from the sun.
Two of downtown Geneva’s music event series, First Fridays and Live From Linden, are back for another season, bringing live music, local businesses, outdoor dining, art, and community events throughout the summer.
The two series offer opportunities to get people out into downtown Geneva and to support local businesses, artists, and musicians who help the city be what it is today.
First Fridays return on the first Friday of each month through the summer, from 5 pm to 9 pm, filling downtown Geneva with local cultural activities. Visitors can expect art exhibitions, special promotions from local businesses, food and drink specials, shopping events, and live music across multiple locations.
Additionally, this year’s edition features performances at many venues throughout Geneva. The Geneva Business Improvement District presents the series and continues its partnership with the Dove Block Project, which brings ever-changing art exhibitions into the monthly events.
The live music for June was outside at Geneva Gelato, Lake Drum Brewing, and the Smith Opera House, and on Linden St. Moreover, attendees witnessed a special performance by Theatre 444 at the Bozzuto Center.
While First Fridays takes over downtown once a month, Live From Linden provides a soundtrack all summer long.
Live From Linden turns Linden Street into a pedestrian gathering spot every Friday and Saturday evening, running til October. Restaurants and bars spread onto the street, with musicians performing beneath string lights, setting the ambiance for the event series.
This year’s lineup includes returning performers such as Frank & Julie, Cayla and the Coy Dogs, Richie & Jim, and MG, and more.
