Sing in the Streets Returns to Downtown Saratoga Springs on Sunday, Presented by Caffe Lena

The streets of downtown Saratoga Springs will once again come alive with the sound of music this spring as Caffè Lena marks an impressive milestone — 66 years of continuous operation — with the return of its beloved Sing in the Streets festival.

Sing in the Streets

Set for Sunday, May 17, from 12 to 5 p.m., the fifth annual edition of this free, family-friendly event will transform the area surrounding the historic venue into a vibrant, open-air celebration of original and traditional music. Expanding significantly from previous years, the 2026 festival will feature 23 acts performing across 10 stages, offering a diverse lineup that spans folk, blues, jazz, country, and soul.

Long recognized as America’s longest-running folk music venue, Caffè Lena has built its legacy on fostering community and championing emerging artists. Sing in the Streets extends that mission beyond its intimate walls and into the heart of Saratoga Springs.

“Sing in the Streets is Saratoga’s only festival deidcated to original and traditional music. It’s our way of saying a thank you to a community that has embraced and supported new music at Caffè Lena for 66 years. It’s a chance for people of all ages to enjoy an incredible array of bands for free, right as Saratoga is emerging from winter.”

Executive Director Sarah Craig

This year’s lineup highlights a mix of regional favorites and rising voices, including Alexis P. Suter BandSway WildHoneysuckle, and Kevin McKrell, among many others. Attendees can expect a full afternoon of discovery, with performances spread throughout downtown, encouraging audiences to wander between stages and stumble upon new favorites.

A dedicated Family Stage will once again provide programming geared toward younger audiences, featuring ensembles connected to the Caffè Lena School of Music alongside performances like Deb Cavanaugh & Dandelion Wine.

The festival was founded by local musician and Caffè Lena Director of Finance & Operations Mateo Vosganian, who envisioned the event as a way to bring the venue’s spirit into the streets — literally.

“Sing in the Streets was created to bring Caffè Lena’s mission out into the open,” said Vosganian. “It’s all about accessibility, discovery, and joy. This event lets people stumble into something beautiful, whether that’s a band they’ve never heard of or a shared experience with a neighbor they’ve never met.”

The event will take place rain or shine, with indoor backup locations planned in case of inclement weather. As always, admission is free, thanks to the support of numerous local businesses and community partners who help ensure the festival remains accessible to all.
