Spanish artist rusowsky took over the Brooklyn Steel for a sold-out night. The New York crowd showed up, with some fans coming in wearing wigs and others wearing all yellow. rusowsky is one of the most exciting rising artists right now, and is someone to be on the lookout for.

Ruslan Mediavilla, known as rusowsky, is part of the Madrid-based collective Rusia-IDK, has built his name off of music that blends electronic, indie, techno, reggaeton, and even jazz. He is currently on his DAISY Tour, where he’s debuting his latest album DAISY for American audiences across the nation. rusowsky has quickly gained recognition as one of the most exciting emerging artists in the global music scene.

Corridos Ketamina, a Mexican-American duo based in Los Angeles and Phoenix, opened the show for rusowsky, blending hip-hop, alternative rock, and corridos. The duo, formed by Henny Fay and Nico Malva, has an unique sound that was perfect for getting the crowd ready for what was to come. In 2025, they released their self-titled debut EP Corridos Ketamina, which truly captures a combination of multiple genres with a major emphasis on their Mexican roots.

Not much soon after the opening set, rusowsky walked on stage with his band who were all dressed alike in wigs. The crowd erupted in cheers and rusowsky’s name was chanted and echoed around the room. The lighting stayed low and moody, switching from red, green, and white, with a spotlight on rusowsky. Each lighting matched the vibe of his songs and felt intentional. The crowd was dialed in the entire time, with everyone singing and jumping around.

What really stood out the most was how rusowsky was able to maintain such high energy throughout the entire show, even while having to wear a boot for his broken toe. He was still jumping about with no care for it as he paused and said he didn’t want to disappoint his fans. rusowsky rotated guitars throughout his set, blending the great electronic instrumental production with his live band.

The crowd was singing along with every song with no stops in between and would mosh together during his hit songs like “malibU” and “KINKI FÍGARO”. Some other songs performed include “Johnny Glamour”, “4 Daisy”, “BBY ROMEO”, “mwah :3”, “pink + pink”, “SOPHIA”, and “VALENTINO” which ended off the night on a high note. Overall, the night was filled with fun, laughter, and excitement.
rusowsky continues his U.S. tour with stops in Chicago, Houston, and will be performing at both weekends for Coachella. rusowsky’s latest album and the rest of his discography can be found on all digital platforms and for more details, visit rusowsky’s official website.
