The Lake George Arts Project brings back Bands & Beans on Sunday, March 29, packing the Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center in Lake George with nine regional bands across two stages and 25 local restaurants competing in a chili cook-off.

Now in its 32nd year, the daylong festival runs from 2 to 7 p.m., with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. Genres span rockabilly, funk, soul and acoustic, with sets running back-to-back across the Ballroom Stage and a separate Acoustic Room.
The Ballroom Stage lineup runs from 2 to 6 p.m., featuring The Stony Creek Band, Big Fez and The Surfmatics, E.B. Jeb, The Ill Funk Ensemble and Harmony Rocks. The Acoustic Room opens at 1:30 p.m. with Northern Borne, followed by Mark and Jill, Shine On and Dirt Cheap.
The chili cook-off puts 25 local restaurants in competition for the People’s Choice Award, voted on by attendees throughout the event.
Proceeds benefit the Lake George Arts Project, which supports year-round fine-art exhibitions, the Summer Concert Series in Shepard Park and the Jazz at the Lake festival.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door at lakegeorgearts.org.
