Sayville Singer-Songwriter Jack Licitra Previews New Album at LIMEHOF

The album stems from an original immersive live musical experience created by Licitra’s band, Jack’s Waterfall. Designed as a musical journey into an imaginary jazz and blues haven, the project tells stories through soulful characters and compelling narratives. The album is expected to be released in late March.

Licitra explained the album aims to create the feeling of being in a nightclub, hearing musicians’ stories and connecting with their love for the music, with themes centered on community, performance and shared experiences with audiences.

“These are songs about the love that blues and jazz musicians have for the music and the love of playing,” Licitra said. “At the core, most musicians play music because they have a passion for performing, their search for community, for being with one another, and sharing the experience with the audience.”

A LIMEHOF Long Island Sound Award winner for his contributions to Long Island’s music heritage, Licitra first gained attention as a teenager with his group, the WaterStreet Blues Band. Licitra then founded the band Jack’s Waterfall and has performed with musicians including Levon Helm, Jimmy Vivino and Bakithi Kumalo.
