Christopher Ardra is an ‘80s sophisticated soft-rock composer’ located in New York, who is releasing a single and video, “Tell Me,” on January 20th. The song is a sneak peek into a sophomore album set to drop at the beginning of summer.

The single and climactic album opener immediately captivates the audience. Ardra’s voice is smooth and whispered, encouraging dance and immersion in melody and groove, balanced by backing female background singers.
Ardra described, when discussing the single, “Tell me was one of the first I wrote as a solo artist, and I’ve performed it at every show I’ve had, although it’s grown up a bit along the way. The song is about several people in my life who I feel do not act in their own interest because they cannot figure out what they want. They don’t know where they see themselves and therefore are constantly creating situations that they do not actually want to be in.’
‘I have two horn players on this song; Jerry Loeb who was my middle school/high school band teacher and is probably the person most responsible in my life for educating me about how to create music and the theory behind it. And Gabi Rose (Bilmurri) playing saxophone.”
The song was both written and produced by Ardra in his Long Island Studio. “Tell Me” encapsulates the vibe of Ardra’s other work, merging the virtual and visceral, as programmed beats blend with lush vocals, drums, a spoken-word interlude, and guitars.
His single and upcoming album adds to Ardra’s prolific extensive list of accomplishments including his 2025 EP, Sai Rui and 2024 LP, Sometimes Other Times.
Ardra will preview the album, set to release during the summer, alongside his band at a live performance, March 26 @ DROM in New York City.
