The lineup showcases the venue’s commitment to bringing international artists to the Hudson Valley, with performers traveling from Canada, Ireland, Palestine, Morocco, Ukraine, Algeria, Tibet and Korea. Notable bookings include critically acclaimed Canadian Indigenous Inuk artist Elisapie, who will perform classic rock and pop songs translated into her native Inuktitut, and Blue Note Records all-star jazz ensemble Artemis, scheduled the night before their Carnegie Hall performance.

Former David Bowie guitarist Gerry Leonard brings his ambient solo project Spooky Ghost to the venue, while Palestinian-American oud virtuoso Simon Shaheen performs traditional Arab maqam alongside contemporary influences. The season concludes with the 20-piece NYC Ska Orchestra performing classic ska and reggae standards just days before the summer solstice.

Co-founder Danny Melnick explained the venue’s programming approach balances successful past events while pushing boundaries to book extraordinary artists. Co-founder Isabel Soffer emphasized The Local’s evolution as a nonprofit, noting plans to reduce rental rates for local organizers and develop a free salon series for regional artists.

The Local has built a reputation for intimate performances with high-caliber sound quality. The winter-spring season reflects the venue’s tagline of bringing “the best music from around the world and around the corner,” with programming spanning traditional folk forms, avant-garde jazz, ceremonial music and dance party events.
