Green River Festival Announces Daily Lineups for 40th Anniversary

Green River Festival announced its full daily lineups for its 40th anniversary edition on Thursday, Jan. 16, with Charley Crockett, Spoon and Geese headlining the three-day event at Franklin County Fairgrounds in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Single-day and two-day passes go on sale Friday, Jan. 23 at 10 a.m.

The festival takes place Thursday, June 19 through Saturday, June 21 with over 50 acts across three stages. The lineup includes The Beths, Kurt Vile & the Violators, Wednesday, Lucius, The War And Treaty, J Mascis, Big Freedia, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Kashus Culpepper, Tunde Adebimpe, PawPaw Rod, Folk Bitch Trio, Ratboys and Lila Iké.

Texas-born singer-songwriter Charley Crockett released two albums in 2025 as part of The Sagebrush Trilogy: Lonesome Drifter in March and Dollar A Day in August, which earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Traditional Country Album.

Spoon’s most recent album, Lucifer on the Sofa (2022), resulted in their first GRAMMY nomination for Best Rock Album. The band released two singles in 2025, “Chateau Blues” and “Guess I’m Fallin In Love,” in preparation for their forthcoming eleventh studio album.

Brooklyn-based quartet Geese released their third studio album Getting Killed in September to critical acclaim, resulting in a sold-out U.S. tour. GQ called them “America’s most thrilling young rock band.” The group performs on Saturday Night Live on Saturday, Jan. 24.

Additional performers include New Zealand indie band The Beths, North Carolina “creek rock” band Wednesday, harmony-driven indie-pop duo Lucius, country and roots duo The War And Treaty, Dinosaur Jr. guitarist and Western Massachusetts native J Mascis, and New Orleans bounce music artist Big Freedia.

The festival continues its tradition of booking world music acts, featuring Saharan rock band Etran de L’Aïr, Colombian cumbia group Frente Cumbiero, Mexican psychedelic tropical rockers Sonido Gallo Negro and Derya Yildirim & Grup Şimşek’s blend of Anatolian folk and psychedelia.
