On December 7, The Paramount in Huntington hosted the Allman Betts Family Revival, a night dedicated to celebrating the enduring legacy of the Allman Brothers Band. More than a tribute show, the Family Revival has become an annual gathering that honors both the history and the extended musical family connected to one of the most influential bands in American rock.

The lineup at The Paramount reflected that philosophy perfectly. Joining Devon Allman and Duane Betts onstage were G. Love, Robert Randolph, Amanda Shires, Judith Hill, Jimmy Hall, and Cody and Luther Dickinson. The core band was rounded out by Johnny Stachela on guitar, John Lum on drums, John Ginty on keyboards, and Justin Corgan on bass, creating a powerful and flexible foundation for the many guest appearances throughout the night.
The show opened with a run of Allman Brothers Band classics that immediately set the tone for the night. “Statesboro Blues” kicked things off with vocals from Jimmy Hall, followed by Duane Betts stepping up to sing “Blue Sky.” “Come and Go Blues” featured Mattie Schell on vocals, while Judith Hill brought added intensity to “Ain’t Wastin’ Time No More.” G. Love added his own flair to the set with a spirited take on “One Way Out,” bringing a different energy while staying true to the blues roots of the song.

As the night moved forward, the collaborative spirit of the Allman Betts Family Revival came through clearly. Robert Randolph injected his unmistakable sound into the mix, and Amanda Shires delivered a commanding vocal performance on “Whipping Post.” The musicians continually rotated on and off the stage, keeping the set fresh and emphasizing the shared nature of the project while staying true to the blues-based foundation of the Allman Brothers’ music.
The concert wrapped up with “Magnolia Road,” followed by the crowd-pleasing “Midnight Rider,” bringing the evening to a strong close. With additional songs filling out the lengthy setlist, the performance felt both expansive and personal.
At its core, the Allman Betts Family Revival is about celebration and continuity. Rather than acting as a straight tribute, the tour keeps the Allman Brothers Band’s music alive by allowing new voices to step in, connect, and pass the tradition forward.
