Red Carpet for The Beatles “Anthology: Episode One” Screening and Talkback at The Paley Museum

The Beatles Anthology has been re-discovered for new generations by Disney+, and the celebration is just getting started! A screening featuring episode one of the anthology sold out at the Paley Center and boasted an audience of day-one fans and Abby Road newbies alike. On the red carpet, the innovators who helped bring this project to life shared wisdom not just about the Beatles, but about the importance of preserving the greats of the musical timeline.

Mr. Weinberg’s lack of presumption and ease starkly contrasted his legacy as one of drumming’s finest. He smiled kindly at photographers and waited patiently so each could take their shots. He listened to interviewers intently and considered his responses honestly.

Jill Hennessy, who did not stop for interviews, proved a force on the carpet nonetheless. Her outfit: a sparkly black blouse and matching pants, balanced the scale of modern grace and rock-and-roll chic.

Tom Frangione’s excitement was infectious. He chattered urgently and intelligently about the importance of re-introducing the anthology to modern audiences, not before stopping to throw up a peace sign “for Ringo!”. A closer look into his outfit highlighted a promotional pin from the release of the original Anthology in 1995 reading “Guaranteed To Raise A Smile”; a perfect detail to surmise both the event and Mr. Frangione’s personality.
