‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ Music Coming to Bop Shop Records in December

On December 14, Bop Shop Records in Brighton (Rochester) will welcome for the first time post-pandemic is the Vince Guaraldi Project. This local all-star band, led by guitarist John Viviani, will perform iconic jazz tunes from “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and more in a special listening room environment for all ages.

Even if the name “Vince Guaraldi” doesn’t ring a Christmas bell, the composer’s tunes will: “Linus & Lucy” and its iconic piano riff, the delicate waltz of “Skating,” and the heartwarming melody of “Christmastime is Here.”

“We’re thrilled to have The Vince Guaraldi Project back at Bop Shop Records,” said Tom Kohn, owner of Bop Shop Records. “Their last show with us was a musical treat, and a great community event. We can’t wait to see new faces at the store.”

“Guaraldi was able to write challenging music that’s fun and memorable,” Viviani said. “We’re having a lot of fun putting this show together,” he continued. “This music holds a special place in the hearts of so many people, and you can feel that when you’re on stage.”

The concert will posted to Bop Shop Records’ YouTube channel before Christmas, and will be rebroadcast on Jazz90.1 WGMC-FM during “Bop Shop Live!” Tuesday, December 23rd at 8pm.
