Green River Festival has announced the first installment of its 2026 lineup, with headliners Charley Crockett, Spoon, and Geese joined by The Beths, Kurt Vile & the Violators, Wednesday, Lucius, and many more. The festival returns to Franklin County Fairgrounds in Greenfield, MA on June 19, 20, and 21 for its 40th year.
Among other artists are The War And Treaty, Big Freedia, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Kashus Culpepper, PawPaw Rod, Folk Bitch Trio, Ratboys, Etran De L’Aïr, Frente Cumbiero, Sonido Gallo Negro, Southern Avenue, Esther Rose, Derya Yildirim & Grup Şimşek, Swamp Dogg, Greg Freeman, Ken Pomeroy, Sunny War, Angela Autumn, Tré Burt, Tyler Ballgame, Luke Tyler Shelton, Fust, Kam Franklin, Lily Seabirt, and Deloyd Elze across three stages over the three days of the festival.
Named one of “fifty essential summer music festivals” by The New York Times, the Green River Festival is Western Massachusetts’ signature summer event. The festival is a spectacular celebration of music and community: a world-class lineup of over 50 acts on four stages, the best in local food and beer, handmade crafts at the Makers Market, a wide array of kid’s activities, and camping. Aside from the headliners, key performers include New Zealand indie heroes The Beths; indie-rock’s exemplary everyman Kurt Vile; North Carolina “creek rock” band Wednesday; harmony-driven indie-pop duo Lucius; acclaimed husband-and-wife country/roots duo The War And Treaty; and larger-than-life ambassador of New Orleans Bounce music Big Freedia (among many others). The festival also continues its tradition of booking an exceptional world music lineup, featuring Saharan rock band Etran de L’Aïr; Frente Cumbiero, who spearhead the new cumbia movement in Columbia; Mexican psychedelic tropical rockers Sonido Gallo Negro; and Derya Yildirim & Grup Şimşek’s meld of Anatolian folk and psychedelia, pop, and soul influences.
