The Falcon in Marlboro Hosts 10th Anniversary of “Locomotion”

The times we are living are challenging. There are friends and neighbors who are suffering more than the more fortunate of us. With many of our institutions failing to deliver as much. But on Saturday, November 8, the Falcon in Marlboro hosted a 10th anniversary celebration of the local music show “Locomotion.”

The evening was a benefit for two local charities, Sparrows Nest and Peoples Place. The former focuses on providing and delivering meals for cancer patients in Dutchess County, while the latter provides healthy food pantry/kitchen for the needy.

Musicians donated their time and talents to raise funds for these two organizations. Touring musicians who performed at Locomotion included club owner Lee Falco (Sam Smith), Larry Campbell (Phil and Friends, Bob Dylan) Caroline Ryan (Rachel Yamagata), Brian Mitchell (The Weight) and the five time Grammy winner pedal steel and lapsteel guitar player Cindy Cashdollar.

As the holidays approach, remember to give to attend local events supporting charities and/or directly support those charities as much as you can.
