The Capital Region will host a night of legendary performances. On Saturday, November 15, at 7:00 p.m., the Proctors Theatre is holding the Star-Studded 60s Spectacular, including five well known acts: Gary Puckett and The Union Gap, The Lovin’ Spoonful, The Buckinghams, The Cyrkle, and Estefano DiSanto.
Fan favorites such as “Young Girl,” “Lady Willpower,” and “Woman, Woman” will be performed by Gary Puckett and The Union Gap, who headline the event and their classic Union Army outfits. The band won six consecutive Columbia Records gold singles and even sold more records in the late 1960s than any other group, even the Beatles.
Hits including “Do You Believe in Magic,” “Summer in the City,” and “What a Day for a Daydream” is going to be played by The Lovin’ Spoonful when they join them for their very first performance at Proctors. Steve Boone, the founder member of the group, has led the group’s live performances with seven continuous Top 10 songs and receiving induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
The Buckinghams who are famous for their Chicago style and classic songs like “Kind of a Drag” and “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy,” are going to be performing. Carl Giammarese and Nick Fortuna, two of the founding members, still lead major global tours and perform their sounds for the first time in Schenectady.
The Cyrkle, once under the management of Beatles manager Brian Epstein, will finish the lineup with their classic hits “Red Rubber Ball” and “Turn Down Day.” The band is still led by its original members Don Dannemann and Mike Losekamp, with Ohio Express’s Dean Kastran joining them.

Opening up the show will be Estefano DiSanto, Las Vegas strip headliner who is also winner of multiple Best of Las Vegas awards. DiSanto who is known for his strong voice and bilingual performances, will definitely create the perfect place for a nostalgic time.
“This show is going to be pure magic for anyone who loves the music of the 1960s,” said a Proctors Theatre representative. “It’s five iconic acts, one legendary night.”
