One element of Rezz’s sets is she’ll put together a stacked list of openers across an array of styles. Sunday night consisted of sets from Curra, Digital Ethos, Ahee, and AC Slater. These artists expand across numerous types of electronic music giving the audience a little bit of everything.

Rezz is known for a moody and dark-hued production style. Every aspect of her project pays homage to scary movies and concepts. From her stage design and visuals all the way up to the hypnotic goggles that she wears every single show. As this show was right before Halloween, the esteemed producer debuted the 3rd Nightmare on Rezz Street Which is just a perfect excuse for her to play all the creepy music she has been working on.

Themed sets known as Nightmare on Rezz Street is a compilation of unreleased tracks that Rezz puts together full of songs she may never release as completed tracks. A whole show full of new music for the audience.

The Portal

In addition, Rezz secretly surprised her fans with her epic portal she has brought to special shows. This high-tech visual element makes her shows next level. The massive circle screen encapsulates around her at the DJ booth and plays trippy visuals.

Once Rezz took the stage to close out her Red Rocks double header she played a quote from the movie SAW, “Do you want to play a game?” and immediately went into mixing her song with Deathpact called “Life & Death” with an edit of a song from the popular motion picture film The Substance.

This experimental producer pays so much attention to detail in order to create not only a fun set but an experience. Her love for all things horror is what is reflected in her music and from the crowd as well. Fans were dressed to the nines in Halloween costumes which made for the spookiest October night.

This set also made special room for other new music due to Rezz’s recent album being released a month ago titled As The Pendulum Swings. The intense red lighting had people so locked in when she played her track “Zone” from that album. There is something about her music that just entices you in. It’s a trance you never want to look away from.

Sunday Night was nothing short of amazing. So much new music. So many unreleased tracks. A few throwbacks from the original Nightmare on Rezz Street album. It truly was a jaw dropping night.
