Dreaming Dog, a scientifically proven album made for dogs, touches human emotions as well. Initially started as a bold move by Amman Ahmed, the founder of RelaxMyDog, along with Antaeus and Daniel from Mosadi, assembled the album, merging the genre’s ambient electronica, lo-fi, and subtle reggae producing a sound that pushes through any genre limits.

An emotional incident influenced the album: Daniel & Amman had met Mosadi shortly after his dog passed away, so they dedicated the album after their dog in honor. The weight of emotion drove each individual to lay all their creativity on the album. “It’s a balance between utility and beauty,” says Daniel from Mosadi.
Science Meets Sound
Looking from a scientific point of view, Dreaming Dog maintains sound design, frequency, and tempo choices, all research backed. Songs on the album contain a very mellow bass with tracks in the 50-70 BPM zone. In addition, the producers slowly include sounds that often annoy dogs to help desensitize them. Still, the album never feels robotic despite the attention to detail.
The texture and depth of the genres come from a collective group of contributors. Each person put their heart & soul into the album, from iconic jazz players such as Charu Suri and Erini’s Cirque du Soleil. to GRAMMY-winning engineers Chris Sulit, Joe Maldonado, and Alex Psaroudakis. The team crafted a polished, emotional album that will attract many listeners. “Even though this music was crafted with dogs in mind,” says Ahmed, “its impact reaches far beyond. It’s for all animals. And all humans.”

Music For Humans & Dogs
Dreaming Dog makes a statement in the growing field of practical music. The tracks tell a story, bring back memories of people who have passed on and make a link between species through sounds. This album displays that artists can produce music for peace and emotional connection, proving that music can travel across the animal kingdom.
